Moin! One month ago, a handful of bagholders decided to pick this coin up and run it themselves. Today moin has a vault, a dao, a treasury that buys its own coin back, a points season, a pfp drop, an explorer anyone can read, and a Telegram chat that doesn't sleep. One month in, here's where we are, and where we're going.
how it started
The takeover came together between September 28 and 30: a Telegram group, this site, and one simple idea — let's run this ourselves. No launch team to wait on, no roadmap handed down. Just holders showing up.
A month later we're still here, and that's the whole game with a community takeover: it lasts exactly as long as people keep showing up. You did.
still here, still up
It's been a rough month for the market. A lot of coins are well down from where they started it. moin isn't one of them. The takeover kicked off around a $40k market cap a month ago; this week MOIN sits near $80k — up about 100%, while plenty of the market went the other way.
And the dao didn't flinch through any of it. The treasury kept sweeping redirected drops every few minutes, the MOIN/USDC pool kept earning a fee on every trade, and as SOL built up the dao spent it the way holders voted to: buying MOIN back. It now holds more than 5,000,000 MOIN of its own, on the way to 1% of the supply, earning drops like any other holder. Steady, while the rest of the market was anything but.
what we built
In a month, from nothing:
- The vault and the dao went live. 2.21 SOL raised in under a day put them on Solana. Since then 27 holders have redirected around 149,000,000 MOIN to the dao, feeding a treasury that's swept in more than 11 SOL of drops — every one of them a vote.
- The dao made its moves. Three proposals so far, every one voted through and carried out. Proposal 1 opened a MOIN/USDC pool the dao owns. Proposal 2 started moin boost, weekly payouts to boosters — around 69,500,000 MOIN is boosted today. Proposal 3 ran phase one of the buyback.
- vpoints season 1 is running. Points for taking part, spendable in the pond. Chatting in the group counts.
- The moin pfp drop. Redirect and keep it up toward a moin pfp airdropped to your wallet, with a pfp maker to use in the meantime.
- You can check everything. The explorer and receipts show every SOL in and out, stats tracks the treasury over time, and the leaderboard ranks the redirectors.
- A tipbot with a life of its own. @moin_tipbot (opens in a new tab) handles tips, wallets, games, ranks and XP right in the chat.
- And the fun. A sticker pack, guides on the blog, and an faq that actually answers things.
the chat
The heart of all of it is the Telegram group (opens in a new tab), and it's loud. More than 330 people have chimed in, 184 of them in the past week and 51 in the last day alone. There's a rank ladder — egg, tadpole, froglet, frog — and so far only a couple have climbed all the way to frog.
But the numbers aren't the point. The people are. A few we have to name:
- platixuM (@platynaaa) and Mustafa — the pillars this chat is built on. Always here, always moin.
- PG (@ELITE_tester) — one of the loudest voices in the room from day one. There's a little one on the way now, so the gm's are rarer these days: moin to the whole family, and good luck, dad.
- T (@T_rebellion01) — building moin its own games, single-handed. All playable right now, in your browser — they're just below.
- Chocolate (@rocknrollakid) — raiding, modding, hyping, and somehow always in the chat. Pure energy.
- Shane (@funkydoyle) — good luck with bluejack and the casino.
- brudka (@brudka) — the number one moin believer, full stop.
- Slap a dev (@slapadev) — straight value, no nonsense, and jail-guard duty never missed.
- Mahesh (@apairofjacks) — relentless on the raids and always on top of the community's marketing.
- Craig (@memelordeddy) — for every meme he's made. He begs for tips a little too hard and really should ask for less, but the chat loves him anyway.
And everyone else who shows up to say moin every single day: you are the takeover.
the games
One shout-out got too big for the list. T (@T_rebellion01) has been shipping games for moin entirely on his own — all free, all in your browser, and genuinely fun. Go beat your friends' scores, then tell him what to build next.

Moin vs Memes — a frog runner. Hop the pond, blast the memes, dodge everything they throw back.

Moindle — the daily frog word game. One word a day, six tries, share your 🐸 grid.

Frog Yourself — turn your selfie into the moin character, grab a share kit, bring a friend to the pond.

Moin Around the World — the global moin wall. Drop your city, say moin, watch the frog take over the map.
what's next
We're not slowing down. On the way:
- More guides, tutorials and a proper wiki, so anyone — crypto-native or not — can follow along and take part.
- More proposals. The dao keeps buying MOIN back toward that 1%, and holders decide what comes after.
- More memes. Obviously.
- More of you. Bring a friend.
A takeover goes on as long as people keep showing up. One month down — come say moin on Telegram (opens in a new tab) and X (opens in a new tab), and here's to the next one. Moin!
Nothing here is financial advice. Crypto is risky, memecoins especially: never put in more than you can afford to lose.
