Moin! Proposal 2 starts moin boost. One yes approves our plan, opens boosting and turns payouts on: boosters share in what the dao earns, paid weekly in USDC or MOIN. The vote runs from Friday, October 16, 18:32 UTC to Monday, October 19, 18:32 UTC.

what boost is

Boosting commits MOIN from your redirect account for 30, 60 or 90 days. While it's boosted it keeps redirecting: its drops still go to the dao. When the term ends, it goes back into your redirect account. Nobody can take it out early: not you, and not the team.

Longer counts more: 30 days counts ×1, 60 days ×1.5 and 90 days ×2. The smallest boost is 100,000 MOIN.

what boosters get

  • 30% of the drops. Every time the drops are swept, 30% goes into the boosters' pot. Each week the pot is turned into USDC and shared by how much and how long you boost. Claim it as USDC, MOIN or half and half.
  • 30% of the pool's fees, collected every week and shared the same way.
  • More say. Boosted MOIN counts more in dao votes: ×1, ×1.5 or ×2, capped by how much you boost.

The drops and the fees also give 3% to the community tip jar and 1% for operation costs. The rest goes to the treasury.

for bigger holders

Boost is a big step forward for anyone with a large bag. Holding more than the usual 3 to 5% of the supply makes a community nervous: a bag that can move any day weighs on the price and holds us back from new highs. Keep what you need, boost the rest, and show you're here for the long run.

You don't give up your rewards to do it. Your boosted MOIN keeps redirecting, and you get a share of the drops back every week, in USDC, MOIN or both. It's how the dao's pillars get rewarded for staying put.

what a yes does

If it passes, it's carried out a few minutes after the vote ends: boosting opens and the payouts start. They come from new income only, so they're small at first and grow with the dao. The dao page shows every step.

good to know

  • There's no fixed return. Some weeks are better than others, and a quiet week pays little or nothing.
  • Boosted means it stays in until your term ends.
  • Each boost's key is made in two halves, by your browser and the site, and the site co-signs only boosts made that way: nobody alone can move it.
  • The dao stays in charge. Each week's list is public for a day before claims open, and a vote can pause payouts or switch boost off.
  • You don't have to boost. From November 3 every redirector earns vpoints each day, and 30 days in a row with 100,000 MOIN or more redirected (boosted MOIN counts too) lets you claim a moin pfp.

how to vote

On the dao page, with the SOL your drops brought, until Monday, October 19, 18:32 UTC. It passes if at least 10% of all votes say yes, and yes beats no. No votes? Redirect your drops: every SOL they bring is a vote.

Vote yes, and when boosting opens, boost what you won't need for a while. The more is boosted, the stronger moin stands.

Nothing here is financial advice. Crypto is risky, memecoins especially: never put in more than you can afford to lose.

  1. proposal 4: finish the dao's 1% of MOIN

The round that finishes board idea #2: the dao buys the last ~5,000,000 MOIN with its spare SOL to reach 10,000,000 — 1% of the supply — and holds it in an account that earns drops. It targets the MOIN, leans down to a 1 SOL floor to finish in one round, and lets the drops refill the treasury. Why, how it works, and how to vote.

  2. proposal 3: buy MOIN toward the dao owning 1%

Board idea #2, turned into a proposal: the dao buys MOIN with its spare SOL toward owning 10,000,000 MOIN — 1% of the supply, a round at a time — and holds it the way a holder does, in an account that earns drops. It targets the MOIN, keeps the treasury's reserve, and paces itself to the SOL the drops bring in. Why, how it works, and how to vote.

  3. proposal 1: buy moin and usdc, and open a moin/usdc pool

The moin dao's first proposal puts 5 SOL from the treasury into a new MOIN/USDC pool on Meteora that the dao owns, and keeps about a third as its reserve. What it does, how it runs on Solana, what the fees are and aren't, the risks, and how to vote until October 14.
