the vault is live: 2.21 sol in less than a day

· the moin team

We asked for 2.1 SOL to put the vault on Solana. You sent 2.21 SOL, in less than a day. For a community takeover run by bagholders, that's incredible, and it's yours: thank you, every one of you who chipped in.

The vault and the moin dao are live on Solana now.

where every sol went

The launch wallet held 2.2118 SOL when we went live. Here's all of it:

  • 2.0294 SOL put the vault program on Solana: rent the network holds for as long as the program exists, plus the upload's fees. The program on Solscan (opens in a new tab).
  • 0.0330 SOL set up the vault and the dao: the dao itself, its treasury, and 0.02 SOL for the sweeper, the small wallet that pays the fees for moving drops into the treasury.
  • 0.1390 SOL, everything above what the launch used, went to the dao's treasury, as promised. The transfer on Solscan (opens in a new tab).
  • 0.0104 SOL stays in the launch wallet, to pay the fees of admin actions such as pausing deposits.

The treasury is public: anyone can check it on Solscan (opens in a new tab), any time. It only pays out what a proposal says, and only after holders vote it through.

redirect your drops

  1. Open your redirect account on the vault page: an address of your own that pump.fun pays like any wallet, but whose SOL only the vault program can move, and only into the dao's treasury.
  2. Move MOIN into it. It stays yours: only your wallet can take it out again, whenever you like.
  3. pump.fun pays the drops on that MOIN to your redirect account, and every few minutes they're swept into the treasury. The SOL your drops bring the dao is your vote.

The moin pfp drop. Redirect at least 100,000 MOIN for 30 days in a row and you're in for the moin pfp drop: a moin pfp, airdropped to your wallet, one per wallet. Every wallet at 30 days or more on the day of the snapshot is in, so keep it redirecting until then; we'll announce the date. More on the pfp page.

it works

pump.fun had never said whether it pays accounts like these, so the first redirect account, holding 1,000,000 MOIN, went in first. At 19:19 UTC on October 4, pump.fun's regular payout round paid it its first drop: 0.000218 SOL, on Solscan (opens in a new tab). That's the first drop ever redirected to the moin dao. Once the drops waiting on an account add up to 0.001 SOL, the vault sweeps them into the treasury, and they count as their holder's votes.

If pump.fun ever stops paying redirect accounts, you take your MOIN back and its drops land in your wallet again. The vault page shows the numbers either way.

The vault program hasn't had an independent security audit yet. The vault page's fine print says what that means for your MOIN and for the SOL waiting to be swept.

what's next

  • Voting. The team puts proposals forward and holders decide, on the dao page. The first ones will be about getting MOIN seen and keeping the lights on, as the last post explained.
  • Stats. The stats page shows the treasury, the drops and the forecast, now and over time.
  • Rewards. Top redirectors on the leaderboard are eligible for future airdrops, rewards and perks, like pfps. The moin pfp drop is the first.

Come and say moin on Telegram (opens in a new tab) and X (opens in a new tab). And thanks again: 2.21 SOL in less than a day, from a community takeover. Moin!

Nothing here is financial advice. Crypto is risky, memecoins especially: never put in more than you can afford to lose.
