rules vote on friday

moin boost

Keep your MOIN. Boost your share of the dao's USDC.

It isn't live yet: holders vote on its rules in proposal 2, from Friday, October 16. If they approve them, you'd keep your MOIN in your redirect account, its drops still going to the dao, and boost it for 30, 60 or 90 days for a share of what the dao takes in, paid in USDC in weekly rounds.

MOIN in the vault is what you'd boost.

Proposal 2 carries the rules' sha256: b1991ecea8fb9c40bfffb930ce27d9d38714c7f7826459d77c4bb98ee57e5f04

how it would work

  1. boost your moin

You'd pick one of your redirect accounts, how much of its MOIN to boost and a term of 30, 60 or 90 days, then sign a free message on this page. It wouldn't be a transaction: your MOIN stays in your vault account, and its drops keep going to the dao.

  2. the dao earns

Boosters would share 30% of what the dao actually receives: the drops redirected to it, plus the fees of its MOIN/USDC pool.

  3. watch your share grow

This page would show your share after each UTC day: earned this week, held until your term ends, carried, and ready to claim.

  4. automatic weekly rounds

After each week, Monday to Sunday UTC, that week's round would be paid from a boost pool by itself, once the dao turns that on by a vote. Its list would be public for 24 hours first, and you'd claim your USDC with your wallet. Under $2 would carry to a later round.

longer boosts would count more

Your boosted MOIN would count by its term: 30 days as ×1, 60 days as ×1.5, 90 days as ×2.

  • 30 days count ×1, all of it paid every week.

  • 60 days count ×1.5: ×1 paid every week, and +0.5 more when the term ends.

  • 90 days count ×2: ×1 paid every week, and +1 more when the term ends.

Your MOIN stays yours either way: you can take it back any time. Taking it out below what you boosted would end your boost early, and you'd lose its held bonus, that week's ×1 part and anything carried for it.

nothing is promised

There would be no fixed return and no APR. Payouts would follow what the dao actually earns, so they could be small, and they could stop. The dao would keep a switch: by a vote, it could make rounds manual again or stop them.

when it would start

Holders vote on its rules in proposal 2, from Friday, October 16 to Monday, October 19. If they pass, moin boost would start once its pages are built, and the first round would come after a month of the pool's income.

until then

MOIN in the vault is what you'd boost, and holders decide in the dao.
