old crypto had something we lost along the way: people who actually stayed. not just a chart. not just a caller. a community with its own inside jokes, arguments, and bad ideas that somehow become good ones. we think that part is worth bringing back.

new launches every minute. new narratives every hour. zero reason to remember any of them tomorrow. so we decided to make something people might actually stick around for. moin.

a community takeover is not a slogan. it’s what happens after the attention leaves and some weirdos still show up to fix things, make memes, and vote on what happens next. that’s the interesting part.
original post
we don’t need another 40-page roadmap explaining why a frog is the future of humanity. we need people who show up tomorrow. and the day after.

what makes you stay in a memecoin community after the initial hype is over? the people? the memes? the experiments? or something else?

meme coins don’t need to pretend they’re banks. they need something people genuinely want to be part of.

crypto used to have communities. now it has waitlists. we’re trying the first thing again.

we want the type of group where someone disappears for two weeks and comes back to a completely new inside joke.
original tweet
we are not here to reinvent the internet. just the part where internet strangers make things together for no good reason.

the mascot is a frog. the economy is held together by a group chat. the governance has actual buttons. perfectly normal project.
original tweet
most communities want to go viral. we’d also like to be worth coming back to on a quiet tuesday.
original tweet
no inspirational founder monologues today. show us what the holders made.
original tweet
if the memes stop being funny, tell us. if the dao stops being useful, tell us louder.
original tweet
community takeover means the people left holding the bag started building a place around it. not every experiment works. that is still the interesting bit.
original tweet
we don’t have an official definition of “the pond.” we do have people who keep coming back to it.
original tweet
a culture isn’t something you can buy as a service. it’s the weird little habits everyone develops when they stay.
original tweet
if you think the old internet was funnier, you are the target demographic. if you think it can be built again, even better.
