moin boost rules, version 1 These rules say how moin boost works in the moin dao. Approving them moves no money and starts nothing: moin boost starts once the site's boost pages are built. Money only leaves the treasury through dao proposals: the monthly one of rule 15 and the others these rules name. Boost 1. A holder boosts by committing MOIN that stays in one of their vault redirect accounts, where its drops keep going to the dao's treasury. Nothing moves: the commitment is a message the holder signs with their wallet on moincoin.fun, free and not a Solana transaction. The MOIN stays the holder's, and they can take it out at any time. 2. A commitment names the redirect account, an amount of MOIN and a term of 30, 60 or 90 days. Its weight is ×1 for 30 days, ×1.5 for 60 days and ×2 for 90 days. 3. Days are UTC days. A commitment counts from the first full UTC day after it is signed until its term ends. On each of those days it counts its weight times the smaller of the committed MOIN and the least MOIN its redirect account held that day, as the site reads it every 5 minutes. Income 4. The dao's realized income for a day is the SOL swept into the treasury from redirect accounts that day, plus the pool fees, in USDC, claimed into the treasury that day. SOL counts at one price per day: its price in USDC in Raydium's SOL/USDC pool 58oQChx4yWmvKdwLLZzBi4ChoCc2fqCUWBkwMihLYQo2 at 00:00 UTC after that day. Nothing else is income: not changes in the price of what the treasury holds, and not changes in the pool's value. The boosters' share 5. Boosters share 30% of each day's realized income. Each commitment gets that 30% times its count that day, divided by the count of all commitments that day, in USDC, rounded down to 0.000001 USDC. What the rounding leaves stays in the treasury, and so does the whole 30% of a day with no commitments. 6. The ×1 part of each day's amount, what the same MOIN would get at ×1, is paid in the weekly rounds. The rest, the bonus of a 60- or 90-day commitment (a third of its amount for 60 days, half for 90 days), is held until its term ends and then paid in the next round. 7. A commitment ends early on the day its redirect account holds less than the committed MOIN, or is closed. It then forfeits its held bonus, its ×1 parts of that round week and anything carried for it. Forfeited amounts stay in the treasury. Amounts in a round that was paid stay claimable. 8. The site shows each booster's amounts once a day, after each UTC day ends: earned this round week, held until the term ends, carried, and claimable. Rounds 9. A round week runs from Monday 00:00 to Sunday 24:00 UTC. After each round week, that week's round is paid from the boost pool automatically by the boost payout program, once the dao has turned the program on by a proposal of its own. A round pays in USDC through Jito's merkle distributor: each wallet's amount is claimed by that wallet. 10. The boost pool is an account of the boost payout program. Only that program can pay from it, and only into a round's merkle distributor or back to the treasury. The program pays at most one round per round week, only after the round's list has been public for 24 hours, only into that round's merkle distributor, and never more than the boost pool holds. Until the program is on, and whenever the dao has switched rounds to manual, the team proposes each round as a dao vote of its own. A manual round pays from the boost pool, or from the treasury while there is no boost pool. 11. A wallet is in a round when it is owed at least 2.00 USDC: its ×1 parts not paid yet, plus the held bonus of each of its commitments whose term ended that week. A smaller amount is carried to later rounds, except that a bonus released at the end of a term goes into the next round together with everything carried, whatever the total. 12. Each round's list (wallet, daily counts, ×1 parts, bonuses held and released, carried, paid) is published at least 24 hours before its claims open, so anyone can work it out again from Solana and flag a mistake. What isn't claimed goes back to the treasury 90 days after the round opens for claims. 13. A round pays what it can, pro rata, when the boost pool holds less than it owes, when paying it in full would take the treasury's SOL below its reserve, or, for a manual round, when its vote fails (then it pays nothing). The rest is carried into the next round. After 4 such rounds in a row, what is still carried this way returns to the treasury. 14. By a dao vote, the dao can turn the boost payout program on, switch rounds to manual or back to automatic, stop rounds, and move what is in the boost pool back to the treasury. The team can pause the program at any time, which holds the next rounds. Only a dao vote resumes it. The rest of income 15. 3% of realized income goes to the community tip jar, HErDJiVkgbSuAUA1ZmZoNsgW6QvjgbrZiZQUrGugHBbB, and 1% for operation costs, HwiDmyhdkXiV6wpeZan2D3DeG5YAC3LLy78gj5WaSW1b, paid weekly in SOL: once a month a dao proposal sets four weekly parts, each 3% and 1% of the realized income of the 4 weeks before, divided by 4. The same proposal brings the boost pool up to the boosters' 30% of the realized income of the 4 weeks before, in USDC bought with SOL in that proposal. If the boost pool already holds that much or more, nothing moves. This top-up is a payout under rule 18, so it checks the reserve. The proposal that turns the boost payout program on fills the boost pool the same way. 16. Once a month the team may propose a top-up of the dao's MOIN/USDC pool with 25% of the spare SOL, half as MOIN and half as USDC. Spare SOL is the treasury's SOL above its reserve and above the month's planned payouts. A top-up only goes as far as keeps the pool worth at most 25% of the treasury's value (everything it holds, the pool included, at market prices) and at most 25% of the value of PumpSwap's MOIN/SOL pool (both sides). 17. Everything else stays in the treasury. The reserve 18. No payout or top-up under these rules may take the treasury's SOL below the dao's reserve: each such proposal checks it on Solana when it runs, and doesn't run otherwise. Once a month the reserve rises to half of the treasury's SOL if that is more. It never goes down. Nothing is promised 19. There is no fixed return and no APR. Payouts follow realized income only: they can be small, and they stop when income stops. The dao can switch rounds to manual or stop them by a vote. 20. Changing these rules takes a new dao vote.
